INAUGURATION OF STUDY CENTRE OF EXCELLENCE IN PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION

Hon'ble Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir Shri Ghulam Nabi Azad on April 21, 2008 inaugurated the “Centre of Excellence in public administration and Management Studies” building of IIPA J&K Regional Branch in the presence of Prof Amitabh Mattoo, Vice Chancellor, University of Jammu and Dr S.S.Bloeria, Chairman, IIPA J&K Regional Branch. A number of senior officers including the Director General of Police, J&K, Chairman-cum-Managing Director, Police Housing Corporation, members of IIPA J&K Regional Branch and mediapersons were present on the occasion. The study centre houses a conference hall (seating capacity 100), a library and office rooms. The two floor building is spread over a covered area of 4500 Sq ft. The library has been named after Late Shri Veeranna Aivalli, the founder Hony Secretary of the Regional Branch and Executive Member of IIPA. On this occasion, a photo exhibition displaying visuals from various programmes held by the Regional Branch during its 30 years of existence was also organized.
