PAUL H APPLEBY AWARD TO THE PRESIDENT OF ICCR, DR. KARAN SINGH AND LATE SHRI VEERANNA AIVALLI

Paul H. Appleby Award is conferred annually by Indian Institute of Public Administration, New Delhi to honour its members who have rendered their distinguished services to IIPA and to Public Administration by way of their association with important committees of the institute or have made substantial contribution in the activities of institute.

Hon’ble Vice President of India, Shri Mohd. Hamid Ansari presented the prestigious Paul H. Appleby Award to the President of ICCR, Dr. Karan Singh and Late Shri Veeranna Aivalli posthumously, formerly Commissioner, Bureau of Civil Aviation Security, Ministry of Civil Aviation Govt. of India and founder Hony Secretary of the J&K Regional Branch of IIPA for his distinguished services to IIPA and to Public Administration. The award was received by his wife Mrs. Swarna Aivalli in the 59th Annual General Body Meeting at New Delhi in IIPA Auditorium on 18th Oct, 2013. He is the first person from J&K to receive this award.

On this occasion the Souvenir - 35 years of J&K Regional Branch of Indian Institute of Public Administration is also released by Hon’ble Vice President of India in the presence of Dr Ashok Bhan Chairman, IIPA J&K Regional Branch, Dr C. M. Seth, Vice Chairman and Dr S. K. Kaul, Editor and Jatin .
