45th Annual General Meeting of the Branch (February 4, 2024)

The 45th Annual General Body Meeting (AGM) of the IIPA J&K Regional Branch, held on February 4, 2024, was attended by 47 members. Dr. Ashok Bhan, Patron, and Shri B.R. Sharma, IAS (Retd.), Chairman, presided over the meeting. Prof. Alka Sharma, Honorary Secretary, presented the Annual Report for 2023, highlighting 11 successful programs, including training initiatives for government officers. The financial statements for the year were approved, and the appointment of CA Shagun Kohli and Mr. Jagdish Raj for auditing and book-keeping was confirmed. Members proposed several future programs, focusing on training, debates, memorial lectures, and regional outreach. The General Body also discussed research promotion, infrastructural enhancements, and plans for further consolidating IIPA’s activities. It was noted that the J&K Branch was recently ranked the best in the country. The meeting concluded with the election of office bearers for 2024-2026, including Dr. Ashok Bhan as Patron and Shri B.R. Sharma as Chairman. The Chairman was authorized to nominate 15 members to the executive committee, which includes notable figures like Sh. Kuldeep Khoda, IPS (Retd), Prof. Rekha Choudhary, and Sh. A.M. Watali, IPS (Retd).
