PROCEEDINGS OF THE 30th ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING OF THE J&K REGIONAL BRANCH
1- The Annual General Body Meeting of the IIPA J&K regional Branch was held on January 10, 2009 in the IIPA Complex. Jammu. 50 members participated in the meeting. Dr S.S.Bloeria, Chairman presided.
2- Dr G.N.Qasba, Joint Secretary welcomed the members.
3- Dr Ashok Shan, Hony Secretary presented the Annual Report in which he apprised the members about the programmes organized by the Regional Branch during the year 2008, both at Jammu and Srinagar. The members were informed that three training programmes were organized by the Regional Branch during the year. The report was unanimously adopted by the house.
4- The Annual Receipt and payment statement for the year 2008 presented by Shri
T.P.Singh , Hony Treasurer, was approved by the General Body.
5- The following suggestions were made by the members and decisions taken:-
i) A member suggested that the outcome of the Seminars/ Workshops should trickle down and recommendations made to the government to make the exerci sed purposeful.
ii) Another member suggested that the Executive Committee has performed extremely well. He suggested that the services rendered by them in providing the J&K Regional Branch its own premises and the facilities therein to organize the programmes, should be recognized. Accordingly,a resolution was passed to appreciate the efforts of the executive committee.
iii) On the suggestion of the Hony Secretary, the dedicated services of Shri J .B.S.Johar in constructional activity and in organizing of programmes were appreciated through a resolution.
iv) Purchases made by the Regional Branch for improving facilities in the liPA complex as also the engagement of Chowkidar and Safaiwala were approved by the General Body.
6- Dr S.S.Bloeria, Chairman in his presidential remarks listed out the activities that the Regional Branch intends to undertake and informed that a team will be deputed to IIPA, New Delhi for studying and identifying the areas wherein trainings can be imparted and projects undertaken on behalf of government departments, corporate sector and private sector.
