PROCEEDINGS OF THE 26th ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING OF THE J&K REGIONAL BRANCH
1- The Annual General Body Meeting of the J&K Regional Branch of the Indian Institute of Public Administration was held on January 8, 2005 at 8 p.m. at Jammu Club, Jammu 52 members attended the meeting. Dr S.S.Bloeria, IAS Chairman of the Regional Branch presided over the meeting. The agenda for the meeting was as follows:-
a. Report of the Hony Secretary
b. Report of the Hony Treasurer
c. Release of IIPA Souvenir
d. Elections
e. Framing of bye-laws and Election Rules of the Regional Branch
f. Any other issue with the permission of the Chair
2- The Hony Secretary presented the Annual Report, copies' of which were circulated amongst the members.This was followed.by presentation of Treasurer's report. As against the opening balance of Rs 15,13,723-71 as on April 1, 2003, the closing balance on 3151 March, 2004 is Rs 19, 27, 372-71. The reports of the Hony Secretary and Hony Treasurer were adopted by the General Body. Members were informed that the Souvenir to be released on Silver Jubilee Year of the Regional Branch will be ready by the end of the January.
3- Dr S.S.Bloeria, IAS, Chairman IIPA addressed the General Body and thanked the Office Bearers and members for their active role in making the programmes a success.
4- The elections for the Office Bearers and Executive Committee were held. Maj Gen (Retd) B. N. Dhar was unanimously requested to act as the Returning Officer. The following members were elected:-

6- The new office bearers/executive committee took over and discussed rest of the agenda.
7- The draft bye-laws/election rules prepared and approved by the Executive Com111ittee were put before the General Body. One of the members wanted that the post of joint Secretary (Central) can be dispensed with and we can introduce one joint Director Seminar each for Kashmir and jammu in place of only one joint Director Seminar. The suggestion was approved. A copy of he approved bye-laws will be forwarded to the IIPA Hqrs, New Delhi.
8- The General Body approved appointment of Shri Deepak Sehgal as Auditor for auditing the accounts of the Regional Branch.
9- The meeting ended with a vote of thanks to the Chairman.This was followed by a dinner.
